SHRA 2022/2023 Training Programme to Kick Start in August 2022


The SHRA is mandated to upskill the delivery of social housing by 18 000 social housing units by 2024. This presents an opportunity for delivery partners to work with the SHRA to achieve this target. By partnering with the SHRA, qualifying delivery partners in the form of social housing institutions (SHIs) and other delivery agents (ODAs), will have the opportunity to develop and manage a social housing project.

The training programme therefore aims to unpack and simplify SHRA processes that need to be undertaken in order to prepare and submit project and SHI accreditation applications and to be able to meet the compliance requirements necessary for successful and sustainable social housing projects.

The training covers topics such as:

  • Introduction to Social Housing;
  • Social Housing Project packaging;
  • SHI Accreditation;
  • Financial Management;
  • Corporate Governance;
  • Property Management;
  • Client Services (tenant management); and
  • Responding to GBV in social housing.
