SHRA WELCOMES NEW CEO, Sandile Luthuli

The Social Housing Regulatory Authority (SHRA) has welcomed Sandile Luthuli, as the new SHRA Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Luthuli holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree with Honours, a Masters Degree in Business Administration, a Higher Diploma in Company Law, and a Masters of Philosophy in Development Finance. He has occupied senior roles in organisations such as the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA), CIDA Empowerment Fund, Alexander Forbes Financial Services as well as Khula Enterprise Finance, amongst others. The combination of strategy, finance and economics experience that he brings to the role will be a valuable contribution to realising the vision of the SHRA.

The organisation is excited to work together with the CEO to develop a social housing sector that is transformed, sustainable and inclusive for many South Africans who are in need of quality, well-located social housing.

Over the next few weeks, the CEO will endeavour to reach out to as many of our stakeholders as possible to gain better appreciation of their expectations of the SHRA and to forge collaborative working relationships. Our relevance as an organisation is inextricably linked to us being responsive to the sector demands.
